Danny Gallagher, it's time to make your reservations for visiting beautiful Philadelphia during the week of March 16th.

That's the date when the District Attorney of Philadelphia plans to retry Msgr. William J. Lynn on one charge of endangering the welfare of a child. The alleged victim in this case is Gallagher, AKA "Billy Doe," the lying, scheming altar boy who made up a story about being repeatedly raped by two priests and a schoolteacher. And then the former altar boy, junkie and conman sold that story to a corrupt former Philly district attorney looking for headlines at the expense of the Catholic Church.

Rufus Seth Williams, Gallagher's official enabler, is sitting in a  federal prison these days, doing five years for political corruption. But his corrupt brainchild lives on in the form of the ongoing prosecution of Msgr. Lynn, now in it's 10th year, all for a crime that never really happened because Gallagher made it all up.

To continue their tawdry record of corruption and willful misconduct in this ongoing witch hunt, the D.A.'s office, under a new corrupt D.A., Larry Krasner, was attempting to retry Lynn without having to call Gallagher as a witness, who would likely face a withering cross-examination. But today, Judge Gwendolyn Bright ordered the D.A.'s office to subpoena Gallagher, and make him "available as a witness during the duration of the trial."

Crime City: Home Invasion Near St. Monica's; D.A. Voci Attacked

How out of control is crime in Philadelphia under D.A. Larry Krasner?

On Wednesday night, some 90 minutes before some 500 citizens gathered at St. Monica's Church in South Philly to hold an anti-crime, anti-Krasner rally, police were just a couple blocks away, investigating a home invasion.

Two masked men entered an apartment at the 1700 block of Wolf Street demanding to know where the money was. They assaulted a 62-year-old man, who appeared to know they were coming, according to cops, and ransacked the place. According to a police report, the robbers pulled a gun on a 20-year-old woman who was a witness to the crime, after the victim claimed that she had the money. Then they slashed the victim in the face and head with a knife and left him bleeding in a bedroom. The victim was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was reported to be heavily sedated in the ICU.

Meanwhile, one of the top law enforcement officials who spoke at the anti-crime, anti-Krasner rally, Anthony Voci, chief of the D.A.'s homicide unit, was himself the victim of an attempted robbery at 12:15 p.m. today in Center City, underneath the concourse of Dilworth Plaza.

A police report said that three young men approached Voci and demanded money.

"Bitch, you know you got two dollars. Give it to me."

'We've Got To Get Rid Of Larry Krasner'

It was George Bochetto, the attorney for the widow of slain police officer Danny Faulkner, who delivered the rallying cry of the night.

"We've got to get rid of Larry Krasner," Bochetto told a crowd of more than 500 people Wednesday who packed an anti-crime rally in the gymnasium at St. Monica's Church in South Philadelphia. As the chief law enforcement officer in Philadelphia, Bochetto said, Krasner is "a traitor to his cause" because he cares more about the rights of criminals, rather than the rights of the citizens he's sworn to protect. And as for the police, Bochetto said, the men and women in blue who are supposed to be Krasner's allies in law enforcement, "They're under attack by Krasner's office."

Speaker after speaker paraded to the microphone last night to describe the brazen state of lawlessness in South Philly under Krasner. Drugs are sold openly on the streets; prostitutes, pimps and burglars are free to ply their trades. Thieves wheel suitcases around the neighborhood filled with packages they steal from doorsteps. When the cops arrest criminals, "Let 'em Loose Larry" gives burglars and murderers a free pass out of jail, so they can rob and murder again. People are getting mugged left and right. Parents and grandparents fear for the safety of their children; grown men [and women] are afraid to venture outside their homes.

"I'm getting a gun," one large man told the crowd. "I'm 6-foot-5, 220, and I'm afraid to walk the streets." Another man predicted, "When we walk home tonight, probably ten of us will get mugged."

Local Blackout Not Working; Krasner's Corruption Now A National Story

The Philadelphia Inquirer sure has D.A. Larry Krasner's back.

Our so-called local "paper of record" has repeatedly turned a blind eye to Krasner's corruption and the disastrous consequences of his "reform" policies that only benefit criminals by emptying the jails.

But on a national level, Law Enforcement Today [LET], the national cop website with nearly 40,000 followers on Twitter and another 11,000 on LinkedIn, has now reprinted verbatim a half-dozen recent Big Trial stories exposing Krasner.

The most recent spate of bad publicity for Krasner began on Jan. 23rd, when LET ran a story about the career burglar who had 184 charges against him dropped "thanks to cop-hating District Attorney." Not only did Krasner drop all the charges emanating from 27 burglary cases, but all those charges were also expunged forever from the criminal's record.

On Twitter, "Stinky Feat" sounded the alarm about the mysterious disappearance of criminal records  and the "systematic dismantling of law and order" now taking place in Philadelphia under Krasner.

Another commentator, NDJ, was not as subtle, equating the D.A. to an emoji of a smiling pile of
excrement.

District Attorney's Lawlessness Sparks Citizen Revolt

The citizens' revolt against the lawlessness of District Attorney Larry Krasner has begun.

At 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 29th, at the gym at St. Monica's Church in South Philly, 16th and Shunk, the Girard Estate Area Residents are hosting an anti-crime rally. A host of other South Philly community groups are participating, as are the local police captain, City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, and state Rep. Maria Donatucci.

Residents have also invited the mayor, the D.A., the state attorney general, the U.S. Attorney, and the police commissioner. But nobody thinks the D.A. has the balls to show. Ditto for our left-wing mayor, who was busy campaigning in New Hampshire on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Liz Warren, and may have forgotten where St. Monica's is located.

D.A. Let Movita's Son Off The Hook For Domestic Violence

Movita Johnson-Harrell is a friend, former employee and loyal political ally of District Attorney Larry Krasner. So did the D.A.'s office do her a favor last year when they ignored an obvious conflict of interest and let her son off the hook by declining to prosecute him in a domestic violence case?

It sure looks like it.

Johnson-Harrell, 53, the first Muslim woman elected to the state legislature, made headlines last month when she resigned her office during her first term. The resignation came a day after she pleaded guilty to charges of theft by deception, perjury, and tampering with public records in connection with stealing $500,000 from a nonprofit she founded to allegedly help people struggling with mental illness, drug addiction and homelessness.

But instead of helping the less fortunate, prosecutors said, Johnson-Harrell spent the money on her campaign for state rep, as well as for fox fur coats, vacations to Mexico, designer clothes, and past-due payments on her Porsche. "Brazen corruption," was how State Attorney General Josh Shapiro described it to reporters. "Her theft knew no bounds," he said, adding that she was actively engaged in covering up her crimes.

D.A. Refuses To Disclose If 'Billy Doe' Will Show For Church Retrial

Can you stage a rerun without the original star of the show?

That's what the D.A.'s office under Progressive Larry Krasner was plainly trying to do this morning during a 90-minute hearing in Courtroom 807 of the Criminal Justice Center. The only question is whether Common Pleas Court Judge Gwendolyn Bright will let them get away with it.

The case at question is Commonwealth v. Lynn, as in Msgr. William J. Lynn, the former secretary for clergy for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He achieved notoriety in 2012 for becoming the only Catholic priest in the country to go to jail during the clergy sex abuse scandal, not for touching a child, but for failing to prevent a known abusive priest from endangering another child.

In the sequel, however, the D.A.'s office under Krasner is plainly angling to retry the case without its star witness, and it's not hard to figure out why. Danny Gallagher, AKA "Billy Doe," is the credibility-challenged former altar boy who improbably claimed he was repeatedly raped by two priests and a schoolteacher.

The only problem with Gallagher's story -- he made it all up. And since the former heroin dealer, junkie and thief has already stolen $5 million from the Catholic Church in a civil settlement, he has no incentive to leave his current home in sunny Florida to voluntarily return to Philadelphia in the middle of chilly March and risk a perjury rap.

'Uncle Larry' Helps A Career Burglar Beat 27 Burglary Raps

According to police, Anthony O'Connor, 30, of Jamison, PA, is a career burglar. His alleged speciality is breaking into apartment buildings in Northeast Philadelphia and stealing change by busting open coin-operated laundry machines.

The cops will tell you that O'Connor has made off with as much as $800 during his laundromat capers, while leaving behind thousands of dollars in property damage.

For a guy the cops say is a career criminal with a drug problem, O'Connor, however, also happens to be incredibly lucky, thanks to his lawyer, and his "Uncle Larry" over at the D.A.'s office.

In court appearances over the past two years, prosecutors from the D.A.'s office have asked four different judges to drop 27 burglary cases against O'Connor, and make a total of 184 charges literally disappear from court records. According to those records, the cases against O'Connor were either withdrawn or dismissed due to a lack of evidence or a lack of prosecution. And since all those burglary cases were tagged "LA," for limited access, all those arrests and all those charges were in the process of being permanently expunged from O'Connor's record.

How does an alleged career criminal with a drug habit beat the rap on 27 alleged burglaries, and get away scot-free, without even a blemish on his record? It has a lot to do with O'Connor's lawyer, as well as how business is being conducted in the city these days under Progressive Larry Krasner's ongoing crusade to "reform" the criminal justice system.

Detective 'Jake' Details D.A.'s Manipulation Of Officer-Involved Shooting

In the latest episode of "Search Warrant," the cop-hosted podcast, Detective Derrick "Jake" Jacobs of the Philadelphia Police Department explains his conflict with the Philly D.A.'s office over the detective's investigation of an officer-involved shooting.

Jacobs investigated the 2017 fatal shooting of dirt biker David Jones,  by Officer Ryan Pownall. Jones, like Jacobs, is black; Pownall is white.

Jacobs discovered that the dirt biker was armed, and that the officer involved in the shooting was not only defending himself but also witnesses that included two children, so he exonerated Officer Pownall. The D.A.'s office, however, wanted Jacobs to change his story, but Jake is a stubborn guy, as outlined in a recent Big Trial blog post.

"Something political and beyond my pay grade" is how Detective Jacobs described what the D.A.'s office, under Larry Krasner, and ADA Tracy Tripp, wanted to do with the investigation of Officer Pownall. The D.A.'s intention, according to Jacobs, was to engineer a "political hit job" against the officer. To accomplish that, the D.A.'s office had to get a key witness to change his story "to fit their narrative," Jacobs said. They also had to make some grand jury transcripts disappear, as well as manipulate a grand jury investigation "to elicit an indictment," by reaching a false conclusion.

Former FBI Agent's Diary Documents Illegal Leaks in PSU Probe

In "Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes,"  former FBI Special Agent Kathleen McChesney revealed on camera how the federal investigation of the serial killer got started. A woman called and said, "I'm concerned about my boyfriend -- his name is Ted Bundy."

The girlfriend proceeded to detail Bundy's suspicious behavior that included following women around at night, hiding a knife in his car and keeping a bag of women's underwear in his apartment.

McChesney, who was on the task force that arrested Bundy, rose to become the only female FBI agent appointed to be the bureau's executive assistant director. Her credibility was such that in 2002, in the wake of the widespread sex abuse scandal involving the Catholic clergy, the U.S. Conference of Bishops hired McChesney to establish and lead its Office of Child and Youth Protection. She's also the author of a 2011 book, "Pick Up Your Own Brass: Leadership the FBI Way."

But now the decorated former FBI special agent is drawing unwanted attention for another book she wrote -- an unpublished, confidential 79-page diary written in 2011 and 2012, back when McChesney was a private investigator working for her old boss, former FBI Director Louis Freeh. At the time, Freeh was getting paid $8 million by Penn State to probe another notorious sex scandal involving former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

According to Sandusky's lawyer, McChesney's diary may constitute newly discovered evidence of prosecutorial misconduct, because it documents how the Pennsylvania state Attorney General's Office was repeatedly violating state law by leaking grand jury secrets to Freeh's investigators.
